Modern Airplane Hangar Wedding

We absolutely loved this spring wedding from last season, these two and their friends were so much fun to spend the day with! The day was full of emotions, heartfelt tears and big laughs from the whole family. A few favourite moments include: the bride reading a letter from the groom other while getting ready, the sweetest first look between the bride and her dad, the flower boy who walked down the aisle first, and the couple's epic first dance!

These two tied the knot at the Hangar Venue in Abbotsford, BC. The high ceilings, sleek lines, and spacious interior create a magnificent backdrop for your special day. And the clean modern design is a great blank slate for whatever decor you want to bring in. Whether you prefer minimalist and modern or a classic and romantic vibe, the Hangar provides a great setting for capturing the essence of your love story.

Situated at the Abbotsford airport there are views of the beautiful Fraser Valley. Couples do need to keep in mind if booking this venue the ceremony and reception must take place inside the venue. On warm days there is the opportunity to open the large garage doors, but guests aren't able to wander around outdoors as it is an active airport! We did have the opportunity to take the couple and wedding party out for some portraits on the tarmac guided by an airport staff. Best part of an indoor venue in the spring is not having to stress about the weather, but we lucked out with dry skies for our portraits!

During our 2022 season we saw lots more of our couples doing a first look with friends and family and it has been oh so sweet! Our lovely bride in this wedding did a first look with her bridesmaids and then with her dad (cue the waterworks from everyone) and it can be such a fun way to start off some portraits with your favourite people!
