After six years of shooting weddings here are some of our favourite BC wedding venues on the coast and islands! Tons of variety in these venues!

Choosing a venue that you love is so important because it will set the scene and the backdrop for all your photos! Some venues have great areas where you can get ready, do your portraits and wedding party photos, ceremony and reception all in one place. While others you may need to consider what else is near by if you'll want to get ready at home, book an airbnb, or go to another location for photos.

Keep reading for some photos of different ceremony, and reception spots at the venues we've shot at. Click on the links to be taken to the venues websites or booking information. Chaster House, Gibsons

Charter House is a cute little venue right on the water in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast. This venue is great for smaller weddings, the lawn looks out over the ocean, and can have a gorgeous sunset in the summer months. If you're lucky you might even see some whales or deer! There is a very small room that could be used for some indoor parts of your day, as well as a simple kitchen for your catering team.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge, Egmont

WCWL quickly became a new favourite for us in the 2024 season! The large deck for the ceremony, and the windows of the reception space face this absolutely stunning view of the inlet. There are also some beautiful spots on the property that can be used for portraits, wedding party and family photos. The lodge also has rooms for some of your friends and family to stay for your wedding weekend.

Deep Cove Winery, North Saanich

Another gorgeous spot on Vancouver Island, Deep Cove Winery offers a covered space for ceremony and beautiful white room for your dinner reception. Cocktail house can take place out on the patio surrounded by the vineyards. There's a beautiful beach just a short drive from teh venue if you opt to go there for photos!

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse, Saanichton

Sea Cider is another favourite of ours! This cidery has the perfect mix of natural landscapes with the orchard and the forest, as well as the modern building for dinner and dancing. There is a small mirrored getting ready room one of you can use to get finishing touches together before your ceremony, or lots of aribnbs in the area near by if you prefer a bigger space!
