families + maternity
We love photographing families and getting to meet you and your kids throughout the years as they grow! Our availability for family shoots is mainly in the spring and fall, as well as limited availability for weekdays in the summer!
We like to keep things fun and natural. As we're sure you know, kids can be a little unpredictable so best to follow their lead and have fun with it! We both have spent LOTS of time with kids as nannies, teachers or daycare staff and have lots of tricks to get your kids feeling comfortable and smiling.
We strive to create a safe, inclusive, welcoming and accessible environment to all kids and families. All families deserve to have beautiful photos with their loved ones where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves! We'd love to hear more about your family, and how we can meet your kids where they're at and support them.

tips for a great family session
01. let kids be kids! We will try and get one classic "everyone look and smile" shot for the grandparents. Other than that, play into what the kids are feeling. Run around together, laugh lots, get dirty in the sand, and cuddle together if that's what works for you. Every family is different and we want to capture you authentically in the stage you're in.
02. be early! Kids typically take some time to adjust (especially if we're in a new and exciting place!) Try and get there a bit early to explore, have a snack and check out your new surroundings.
03. come with no expectations - chances are it won't be exactly how you planned anyway. Things will be a little chaotic, and it may not look like the Pinterest board you had in mind. But come with an open mind and we'll create some magic together!
04. you know your kids best - before your session we will send you a short questionnaire to tell us about your family. If anyone has any accessibility needs, or ways we can best support you during your session we'd love for you to share that with us.
